Covestro handovers “Bright Minds for A Brighter World” to Chulalongkorn University Demonstration Elementary School

BANGKOK - Ms. Kultida Charoensawad (third right), Advocacy and Government Relations Manager of Covestro (Thailand) Co. Ltd. handovered 1,000 books of the “Bright Minds for a Brighter World”, a CSR Children book project focusing on science and environmental education for elementary school students, to Assistant Professor Tinnakorn Buapoon (third left), Principal of Chulalongkorn University Demonstration Elementary School, together with Dr. Sujittra Vasanapakdee, Researcher from Environmental Reserch Institute, Chulalongkorn University and Chula ZERO Waste project leader, as a withness, in order to increase the awareness of littering behavior to the public.

For the first topic of the “Bright Minds for a Brighter World”, Covestro and its partners launched a coloring activity book with the purpose of educating Thai youth on the harmful effects of improper waste disposal on the environment particularly into the ocean.

Among Covestro’s partners for the project include the Research and Development Center on Education for Sustainable Development Innovations - Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University, the Science Centre for Education and the Federation of Thai Industries.

Covestro will distribute a total of 25,000 copies of the book through its collaboration with the Science Center of Education and the Federation of Thai Industries- The Industrial Environment Institute. Covestro employee volunteers will also visit the neighboring schools of its sites in the country to conduct the engagement with the school kids.
